  All Day National Trails Day   Saturday, June 2nd, 9am - Annual National Trails Day® in Celebration of American Hiking Society’s 20th - Deep Creek Lake State Park and Garrett Trails are celebrating this year’s 20th National Trails Day® event on June 2, 2012. Come experience Deep Creek Lake State Park and the natural beauty of Garrett County as we pull together to prune branches, move rocks, rake, grade and spruce up the park trails for the summer season. Meet at 9:00 a.m. at the upper overflow parking lot, Deep Creek State Park off State Park Road. Please bring water, insect repellent, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and a snack as needed.
  All Day "An Evening of Ballet"   Appalachian Ballet Theater to present "An Evening of Ballet". The performance will showcase the talent and artistry of the company dancers in a program of high-energy signature works as well as excerpts from beloved classics such as Coppélia, Swan Lake, Giselle and Don Quixote. "An Evening of Ballet" will be held at Mountain Ridge High School, Frostburg, Maryland, on Saturday, June 2, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 3, at 2:00 p.m. Tickets may be purchased by calling 301-729-6722.

  All Day Parkinson's Disease Support Group   The Cumberland area has been without a support group for Parkinson's Disease patients, family members and care givers for a number of years, and plans have been made to develop a Support Group.
Grace Memorial Community Church, on Seton Drive, has agreed to provide a meeting room for monthly meetings. An elevator and handicapped facilities are available. There will be a time for sharing, idea exchanges and an opportunity to encourage PD patients, family members and care-givers.
The first meeting will be for planning and an “Ice Breaker” If you are interested in attending the meeting on Monday, June 4, 2012 at 4:00 P.M., or if you have a special interest in assisting in the facilitation of a Parkinson's Support Group for the Cumberland area - Please contact Shirley McKinney at 301-729-1427. A number of doctors and professionals have been contacted to speak to the support group. John's Hopkins and the Western Maryland Health System have offered support.
  All Day YMCA Rocky Gap Triathlon   Saturday, June 2th at Rocky Gap State Park its the YMCA Rocky Gap Triathlon This year marks the 25th year for this great event and the turn out is expeted to be fantastic. There's the International Bike Course, the Sprint Distance Race and of course the Triathlon featuring swimming, biking and running invarious age categories. GO106 willbroadcast live starting at 7am . Its a great morning of competition in combined swimming , biking, and running, all on the beautiful grounds of Rocky Gap State Park and Lake Habeeb.
